Psalms 120

An ode of the steps.

120:1I cried out to the lord in my being afflicted, and he listened to me.

120:2O lord, rescue my soul from unjust lips, and from a deceitful tongue!

120:3What may be given to you, and what added to you, to the deceitful tongue?

120:4The arrows of the mighty are being sharpened with the solitary coals.

120:5Alas, for my sojourn was far; I encamped with the tents of Kedar.

120:6My soul sojourned much with the ones detesting peace.

120:7I was peaceable whenever I was speaking to them; they waged war against me without charge.
