Psalms 115

115:1Not to us, O lord, not to us, but only to your name give glory, because of your mercy and your truth!

115:2lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God?

115:3But our God in the heaven and in the earth does all as much as he wants.

115:4The idols of the nations are silver and gold -- works of the hands of men.

115:5They have a mouth, but they shall not speak; they have eyes, but they shall not see;

115:6they have ears, but they shall not hear; they have noses, but they shall not smell;

115:7they have hands, but they shall not handle; they have feet, but they shall not walk; they shall not speak out loud through their throat.

115:8Let the ones making them become likened to them! and all the ones yielding upon them.

115:9The house of Israel hopes upon the lord; he is their helper and defender.

115:10The house of Aaron hopes upon the lord; he is their helper and defender.

115:11The ones fearing the lord hoped upon the lord; he is their helper and defender.

115:12The lord was remembering us; he blessed us; he blessed the house of Israel; he blessed the house of Aaron;

115:13he blessed the ones fearing the lord, the small with the great.

115:14May the lord add unto you; unto you and unto your sons.

115:15You are being blessed by the lord, the one making the heaven and the earth.

115:16The heaven of the heaven belongs to the lord; but the earth he gave to the sons of men.

115:17The dead shall not praise you, O lord, nor all the ones going down into Hades.

115:18But we the living, we shall bless the lord from the present and unto the eon.
