Psalms 95

A praise of an ode to David.

95:1Come, we should make exultation to the lord; we should shout to God our deliverer.

95:2We should go before his presence with acknowledgment; and by psalms we should sound aloud to him.

95:3For the lord is a great God, and a great king above all the earth.

95:4For in his hand are the ends of the earth; and the heights of the mountains are his.

95:5For his is the sea, and he himself made it; and his hands shaped the dry land.

95:6Come, we should do obeisance and fall before him; and weep before the lord, the one making us.

95:7For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you should hear his voice,

95:8you should not harden your hearts as in the embittering, according to the day of the test in the wilderness,

95:9of which your fathers tested me; they tried me, and they beheld my works.

95:10Forty years I loathed that generation, and said, They continually wander in the heart, and they do not know my ways.

95:11So I swore by an oath in my anger, Shall they enter into my rest, no.
