Psalms 58

To the director; do not utterly destroy; to David; for an inscription on a monument.

58:1Will truly thus you speak righteousness and rightly judge, O sons of men?

58:2For even in the heart you work lawlessness in the earth. Your hands closely join in injustice.

58:3Sinners were separated from the womb; they wander from the belly; they spoke lies.

58:4Rage to them is according to the likeness of the serpent; as a mute asp even plugging her ears,

58:5who does not listen to the sound of the sorcerer charming, and the administering of potions by a wise man.

58:6God broke their teeth in their mouths; the lord fractured in pieces the molars of the lions.

58:7They shall be treated with contempt as water going by. He shall stretch tight his bow until of which time they shall be weakened.

58:8As beeswax melting away, they shall be taken away in return. Fire fell upon them, and they did not see the sun.

58:9Before the perceiving of your thorn-bushes -- the white-thorn shrub; as living, as in anger he shall swallow them.

58:10The just one shall be glad whenever he should behold punishment. He shall wash his hands in the blood of the sinner.

58:11And a man shall say, There is fruit to the just; there is God judging them in the earth.
