Psalms 54

To the director; among the hymns of contemplation to David; in the coming of the Ziphites, and their saying to Saul, Behold is not David hidden with us?

54:1O God, by your name deliver me, and by your power judge me!

54:2O God, listen to my prayer, give ear to the words of my mouth!

54:3For strangers rose up against me; and strong men seek my life; and they did not set God before them.

54:4For behold God helps me; and the lord is a shielder of my life.

54:5He shall return the evils to my enemies. By your truth utterly destroy them!

54:6Voluntarily I will sacrifice to you; I will make acknowledgment to your name, O lord, for good.

54:7For from out of all afflictions you rescued me; and among my enemies my eye looked upon its request.
