Psalms 45
To the director; for the changings; to the sons of Korah; for contemplation; an ode for the beloved.
45:1My heart discharged forth a good word. I speak of my works to the king. My tongue is a reed pen of a scribe writing fast.
45:2More beautiful in beauty than the sons of men. Favor was poured out on your lips. On account of this God blessed you into the eon.
45:3Gird your broadsword upon your thigh! O mighty one, in your beauty.
45:4And in your fineness, even stretch tight your bow, and greatly prosper, and reign! Because of truth, and gentleness, and righteousness even shall your right hand guide you wonderfully.
45:5Your arrows are being sharpened, O mighty one. Peoples shall fall underneath you in the heart of the enemies of the king.
45:6Your throne, O God, is unto the eon of the eon. A rod of straightness is the rod of your kingdom.
45:7You loved righteousness, and detested lawlessness; on account of this God your God anointed you with oil of exultation beyond your fellow partakers.
45:8Myrrh, and balsam, and cassia of your garments from palaces of ivory,
45:9from of which the daughters of kings gladdened you in your honor. The queen stood at your right having put around in clothes being embroidered interwoven with gold.
45:10Hear, O daughter, and behold! And lean your ear, and forget your people, and the house of your father!
45:11Even the king desired your beauty; for he is your lord, and you shall do obeisance to him.
45:12And the daughter of Tyre shall come with gifts. The rich of the people will implore your face.
45:13All the glory of the daughter of the king within, with bordered fringes of gold,
45:14being put around, being embroidered. The virgins shall be carried to the king after her; the ones near her shall be carried to you.
45:15They shall be carried in gladness and exultation; they shall be led into the temple of the king.
45:16In place of your fathers, your sons were born. You shall place them as rulers over all the earth.
45:17I will make your name remembered in every generation, and generation. On account of this peoples will make acknowledgment to you into the eon, and into the eon of the eon.
