Psalms 41

To the director; a psalm to David.

41:1Blessed is the one taking notice upon the poor and needy; the lord shall rescue him in the evil day.

41:2May the lord guard him, and enliven him, and bless him in the land; and may he not deliver him into the hands of his enemies.

41:3Let the lord help him upon the bed of his grief! You turned all of his bed in his illness.

41:4I said, O lord, show mercy on me! Heal my soul! for I sinned against you.

41:5My enemies said bad things against me, saying, When shall he die and his name perish?

41:6And if he entered to see me, his heart spoke folly. He gathered lawlessness to himself; he went forth outside and spoke in the same manner.

41:7All my enemies whispered against me; against me they devised bad things for me.

41:8They laid down against me an illegal matter, saying, Shall the one going to bed not proceed to rise up?

41:9For also the man of my peace upon whom I hoped, the one eating my bread loaves, magnified against me with trickery.

41:10But you, O lord, show mercy on me, and raise me up, and recompense to them!

41:11By this I knew that you wanted me, that in no way should my enemy rejoice over me.

41:12But because of my innocence you assisted and firmed me up before you into the eon.

41:13Blessed be the lord God of Israel, from the eon and into the eon. May it be, May it be.
