Psalms 99

A psalm to David.

99:1The lord reigned. Let peoples be angry! He is the one sitting upon the cherubim. Let the earth be shaken!

99:2The lord is great in Zion, and is high above all the peoples.

99:3Let them acknowledge your great name! for he is fearful and holy.

99:4And the honor of the king loves equity. You prepared straight judgment; and you established righteousness in Jacob.

99:5Raise up high the lord our God, and do obeisance at the footstool of his feet! for he is holy.

99:6Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel is among the ones calling upon his name. They called upon the lord, and he listened to them.

99:7In a column of cloud he spoke to them; for they guarded his testimony, and his orders which he gave to them.

99:8O lord our God, you heeded them. O God, you became propitious to them, yet punishing over all their practices.

99:9Raise up high the lord our God, and do obeisance at his holy mountain! for the lord our God is holy.
