Psalms 9

To the director; for the private things of the son; a psalm to David.

9:1I shall make acknowledgment to you, O lord, with my entire heart. I shall describe all your wonders.

9:2I will be glad and exult in you. I shall strum to your name, O highest one.

9:3In the turning of my enemy unto the rear, they shall weaken and be destroyed from your face.

9:4For you made my case and my cause. You sat upon the throne -- the one judging righteousness.

9:5You reproached nations, and the impious perished. You wiped away his name into the eon, and into the eon of the eon.

9:6The broadswords of the enemy failed unto the end; and you demolished cities; his memorial was destroyed with noise.

9:7And the lord abides into the eon. He prepared his throne for judgment.

9:8And he will judge the inhabitable world in righteousness. He shall judge peoples with uprightness.

9:9And the lord became a refuge to the needy; a helper at an opportune time in afflictions.

9:10And the ones knowing your name hope upon you, for you abandoned not the ones seeking after you, O lord.

9:11Strum to the lord! to the one dwelling in Zion. Announce among the nations his practices!

9:12For the one requiring their blood he remembered. He did not forget the cry of the needy.

9:13Show mercy on me, O lord! Behold my humiliation from my enemies! O one raising me from the gates of death.

9:14so that I should publish all your praise at the gates of the daughter of Zion. We will exult over your deliverance.

9:15The nations were stuck in corruption which they produced; by this snare which they hid their own foot was seized.

9:16The lord is known by executing judgments; the sinner is seized by the works of his hands. AN ODE.

9:17Let the sinners be turned to Hades! even all the nations forgetting God.

9:18For the poor shall not be forgotten at the end; the patience of the needy ones shall not perish to the end.

9:19Rise up, O lord, do not let man overpower! Let the nations be judged before you!

9:20Place, O lord, a lawgiver over them! Let the nations know that they are men!
