Psalms 5

To the director; for the one inheriting; a psalm to David.

5:1Give ear to my words, O lord! Take notice of my cry!

5:2Take heed to the voice of my supplication, O my king and my God! for to you I shall pray, O lord.

5:3In the morning you shall hear my voice. In the morning I shall stand beside you, and he shall watch me.

5:4For you are not a God wanting lawlessness, nor shall the one being wicked sojourn with you;

5:5nor shall lawbreakers abide in front of your eyes. You detested all the ones working lawlessness.

5:6You shall destroy all the ones speaking the lie. A man of blood and deceitful the lord abhors.

5:7But I, in the multitude of your mercy shall enter into your house. I shall do obeisance towards your holy temple in the fear of you.

5:8O lord, guide me in your righteousness, because of my enemies! Straighten out my way before you!

5:9For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain; their throat is a tomb having been opened; with their tongues they used deceit.

5:10Judge them, O God! let them fall away from their deliberations! According to the multitude of their impieties banish them! For they rebelled against you, O lord.

5:11And may all hoping upon you be glad. They shall exult into the eon, and you shall encamp with them; and the ones loving your name shall boast in you.

5:12For you shall bless the just, O lord. As a shield of benevolence you crowned us.
