Psalms 14

To the director; a psalm to David.

14:1The fool said in his heart, There is no God. They were corrupted and abhorrent in their practices. There is not one doing that which is good.

14:2The lord from out of heaven looked upon the sons of men, to see if there is one perceiving or inquiring of God.

14:3All turned aside together; they were made useless; there is not one doing that which is good; there is not even one.

14:4Do all the ones working lawlessness not know, the ones devouring my people as the food of bread? They called not upon the lord.

14:5There they were timid with fear, of which there was no fear; for God is with the generation of the just.

14:6The counsel of the poor you disgraced, for the lord is his hope.

14:7Who will grant from Zion the deliverance of Israel? In the lord turning the captivity of his people, Jacob shall exult, and Israel shall be glad.
