Proverbs 29

29:1Better a man of reproofs, than a man hard-necked; for suddenly there is no healing blazing up for him.

29:2In the lauding of the just peoples will be glad; but men moan over the rule of the impious.

29:3A man fond of wisdom gladdens his father; but the one tending harlots destroys wealth.

29:4A just king establishes regions; but a lawbreaking man razes them.

29:5The one who makes preparations with a net against the person of his own friend puts it around his own feet.

29:6A great snare is set against a man sinning; but the just will be in joy and in gladness.

29:7A just man has knowledge to judge for the destitute; but the impious do not comprehend knowledge; and to the poor there does not exist the mind of an arbitrator.

29:8Mischievous men burn away a city; but wise men turn away anger.

29:9A wise man judges nations; but a heedless man, in provoking to anger, ridicules and is not struck with awe.

29:10Men being partners in blood shall detest the sacred; but the upright will seek after his soul.

29:11The fool brings forth his entire rage; but the wise stores his up in part.

29:12A king hearkening in an unjust matter makes all the ones under him lawbreakers.

29:13A money-lender and debtor, when one another come together the lord commits to oversee both.

29:14A king judging the poor in truth, his throne shall be established for a good testimony.

29:15Strokes and reproofs give wisdom; but a child wandering shames his parents.

29:16With the being of many impious, many sins take place; but with the just, at the falling of those, fear takes place.

29:17Correct your son, and he will cause you rest, and he will give a decoration to your soul.

29:18In no way should there exist an expositor to a lawbreaking nation; but the one keeping the law is most blessed.

29:19A recalcitrant domestic servant will not be corrected by words; for even if he comprehends he will not obey.

29:20If you should behold a man hasty in words, know that the fool has hope rather than he!

29:21The one who lives wastefully from child hood will be a domestic servant; and at the end will grieve over himself.

29:22A man inclined to rage digs up altercation; and a man prone to anger gouges up sin.

29:23Insolence abases a man; but the lord establishes the humble-minded in glory.

29:24The one who shares with a thief detests his own soul. And if an oath having been set before ones hearing, but they should not announce it,

29:25they, fearing and shaming men, shall be tripped up; but the one yielding upon the lord shall be glad. Impiety in man makes a man trip; but the one yielding unto the master shall be preserved.

29:26Many attend to the persons of leaders; but by the lord justice happens to a man.

29:27A just man is an abomination to an unjust man; and an abomination to the lawless one is a straight way.
