Proverbs 10

10:1A wise son gladdens a father, but a foolish son is distress to a mother.

10:2Treasures shall not benefit the lawless; but righteousness shall rescue from out of death.

10:3The lord will not famish a just soul; but the life of the impious he will prostrate.

10:4Poverty humbles a man; but the hands of the vigorous enrich. A son being corrected will be wise; but the foolish he will treat for a servant.

10:5An intelligent son is preserved from sweltering heat; but destruction by the wind comes at the harvest to a son who is a lawbreaker.

10:6A blessing of the lord is upon the head of the just; but the mouth of the impious he covers with untimely mourning.

10:7Remembrance of the just is with commendation; but the name of the impious is extinguished.

10:8A wise heart shall receive commandments; but the open-mouthed shall be tripped up by crooked lips.

10:9The one who goes simply, goes complying; but the one perverting his ways shall be known.

10:10The beckoning eye with treachery gathers distresses for men; but the one reproving with an open manner makes peace.

10:11The spring of life is in the hand of the just; but destruction shall cover the mouth of the impious.

10:12Hatred raises up altercation; but friendship shall cover all the ones not fond of altercations.

10:13The one who brings forth wisdom from his lips, beats the heartless man with a rod.

10:14The wise shall hide perception; but the mouth of the precipitous approaches destruction.

10:15The property of rich men is a fortified city; but destruction of impious ones is poverty.

10:16The works of the just produce life; but the fruit of the impious produces sins.

10:17Instruction keeps the ways of life, but instruction unascertained wanders.

10:18Just lips cover hatred; but the ones bringing forth reviling are most foolish.

10:19By many words you shall not flee from sin; but in the sparing of your lips you will be intelligent.

10:20The tongue of the just is silver being purified; but the heart of the impious shall fail.

10:21The lips of just ones have knowledge of high things; but the fools come to an end with lack.

10:22The blessing of the lord upon the head of the just -- this enriches, and in no way shall distress in heart be added to it.

10:23With laughter a fool commits evils; but wisdom births intelligence to a man.

10:24By destruction an impious man is carried round about; but the desire of the just is accepted.

10:25In the coming of the blast the impious are obliterated; but the just in turning aside escapes into the eon.

10:26As an unripe grape to the teeth is hurtful, and smoke to the eyes; thus unlawfulness to the ones dealing with it.

10:27The fear of the lord adds days; but the years of the impious shall be lessened.

10:28Gladness lingers with the just; but the hope of the impious shall be destroyed.

10:29The fear of the lord is the fortress of the sacred; but destruction to the ones working evils.

10:30The just shall not give way into the eon; but the impious shall not live on the earth.

10:31The mouth of the just drops wisdom; but the tongue of the unjust shall be totally ruined.

10:32The lips of just men drop favors; but the mouth of the impious is perverted.
