Matthew 7

7:1Judge not that you should not be judged!

7:2For by what judgment you judge, you shall be judged; and by what measure you measure, it shall be measured back to you.

7:3But why do you see the speck, the one in the eye of your brother, but the beam in your eye you do not contemplate?

7:4Or how shall you say to your brother, Allow me to cast out the speck from your eye; and behold, the beam is in your eye?

7:5Hypocrite, cast out first the beam from your eye! and then you shall see clearly to cast out the speck from the eye of your brother.

7:6You should not give the holy to the dogs; nor should you throw your pearls before the swine, lest at any time they shall trample them with their feet, and having turned should tear you.

7:7Ask! and it shall be given to you. Seek! and you shall find. Knock! and it shall be opened to you.

7:8For every one asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking it shall be opened.

7:9Or who is it of you, being a man, whom ever his son should ask for bread, shall give to him a stone?

7:10And if he shall ask for a fish, shall give to him a serpent?

7:11If then, you being wicked, know to give good gifts to your children, how much rather your father, the one in the heavens shall give good things to the ones asking him?

7:12All things then, as much as you should want that men should do to you, so also you do to them! for this is the law and the prophets.

7:13Enter through the narrow gate! for spacious is the gate, and broad is the way leading unto the destruction, and many are the ones entering through it.

7:14For narrow is the gate, and being afflicted is the way, the one leading unto the life, and few are the ones finding it.

7:15And take heed of the false prophets! the ones who come to you in garments of sheep, but inside they are predacious wolves.

7:16From their fruits you shall recognize them. Do they collect together the grape from thorn-bushes, or figs from thistles?

7:17Thus every good tree produces good fruits, but the rotten tree produces bad fruits.

7:18A good tree is not able to produce bad fruits, nor a rotten tree to produce good fruits.

7:19All trees not producing good fruit are cut down, and thrown into a fire.

7:20Yes, it is so -- from their fruits you shall recognize them.

7:21Not all saying to me, O Lord, O Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens; but the one doing the will of my father, the one in the heavens.

7:22Many shall say to me in that day, O Lord, O Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many powerful works?

7:23And then I will acknowledge to them that, At no time I knew you. Retreat from me! O ones working lawlessness.

7:24Every one then whoever hears these my words, and does them, I shall liken him to a practical man, one who built his house upon the rock.

7:25And the rain came down, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they fell on that house, and it did not fall; for the foundation was laid upon the rock.

7:26And all hearing these my words, and not doing them, shall be likened to a moronish man, one who built his house upon the sand.

7:27And the rain came down, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they struck against that house, and it fell, and its downfall was great.

7:28And it came to pass when Jesus completed these words, the multitudes were overwhelmed by his teaching;

7:29for he was teaching them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
