Luke 21

21:1And looking up he beheld the rich throwing their gifts into the treasury.

21:2And he beheld a certain destitute widow throwing there two leptas.

21:3And he said, Truly I say to you that this poor widow threw in more than all.

21:4For all these from out of their abundance threw in the gifts for God; but she from out of her deficiency threw all the livelihood which she had.

21:5And as some were speaking concerning the temple, that with goodly stones and consecrated offerings it was adorned, he said,

21:6As to these things which you view, there shall come days in which a stone shall not be left upon a stone, which shall not be broken up.

21:7And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when then will these things be, and what is the sign whenever these things are about to take place?

21:8And he said, Take heed that you should not be misled! For many shall come in my name, saying that, I am he, and saying, The time approaches. You should not then go after them.

21:9And whenever you should hear of wars and commotions, you should not be terrified. For it is necessary these things take place first; but not immediately is the end.

21:10Then he said to them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;

21:11also great earthquakes in places; and shall be there famines and pestilences; also fearful things, and there will be great signs from heaven.

21:12But before these things all together, they shall put their hands upon you, and shall persecute you, and deliver you up unto synagogues, and prisons, leading you unto kings and governors because of my name.

21:13But it shall result to you for a testimony.

21:14Then you put it into your hearts not to meditate beforehand to make a defense!

21:15For I shall give to you a mouth and wisdom, in which all the ones being adverse to you will not be able to contradict nor oppose.

21:16But you will be delivered up even by parents, and brethren, and relatives, and friends; and they shall put to death some of you.

21:17And you will be detested by all on account of my name.

21:18But a hair from your head in no way shall perish.

21:19By your endurance acquire your life!

21:20And whenever you should behold Jerusalem being encircled by encamped armies, then know that her desolation approaches.

21:21Then let the ones in Judea flee into the mountains! And let the ones in the midst of her withdraw! And let the ones in the regions not enter into her!

21:22For these are days of avenging to fulfill all the things having been written.

21:23But woe to the ones having one in the womb, and to the ones nursing in those days. For there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath among this people.

21:24And they shall fall by the mouth of the sword, and shall be taken captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be for treading by nations until the times of the nations shall be fulfilled.

21:25And there shall be signs among the sun, and moon, and stars; and upon the earth conflict of nations, in perplexity of resounding sea and tossing about;

21:26men fainting from fear and expectation of the things coming to the inhabitable world; for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

21:27And then they shall see the son of man coming in a cloud with power and much glory.

21:28But at the beginning of these things to come to pass, let your heads be raised and lifted up, because your release by ransom approaches!

21:29And he spoke a parable to them, Look at the fig-tree, and all the trees!

21:30Whenever they should burgeon already, seeing it yourselves, you know that already the summer is near!

21:31Thus also you, whenever you should see these things taking place, know that the kingdom of God is near!

21:32Amen I say to you, that in no way shall this generation pass away, until whenever all shall take place.

21:33The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words in no way shall pass away.

21:34But take heed to yourselves! lest at any time your hearts should be weighed down in dizziness, and intoxication, and anxieties of life; and in a sudden that day should stand upon you.

21:35For as a snare it shall come upon all the ones being settled upon the face of all the earth.

21:36Be awake then at every season! beseeching, that you should be deemed worthy to flee from all the things being about to take place, and to stand before the son of man.

21:37And he was by days in the temple teaching, and by nights coming forth to lodge in the mountain being called, Olives.

21:38And all the people rose early to him in the temple, to hear him.
