John 8
8:1And Jesus went to the mount of olives.
8:2And at dawn again he came into the temple, and all the people came to him; and having sat he taught them.
8:3And the scribes and the Pharisees led to him a woman having been overtaken in adultery. And having stood her in the midst,
8:4they say to him, Teacher, this woman we found in the very act committing adultery.
8:5And in our law, Moses gave charge for such to be stoned; you then, what do you say?
8:6But this they said testing him, that they should have a charge against him. But Jesus bowing low, with his finger he wrote on the ground.
8:7And as they continued asking him, having raised the head he said to them, The one sinless of you let him cast the first stone at her!
8:8And again bowing low he wrote on the ground.
8:9And they having heard, and by their consciences being reproved, went forth one by one, beginning from the older; and was left behind alone Jesus, and the woman being in the middle.
8:10And Jesus having raised the head, and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, Woman, where are they, those your accusers, did no one condemn you?
8:11And she said, No one, O Lord. And Jesus said to her, Nor I condemn you; go and from now sin no more!
8:12Again then to them Jesus spoke, saying, I am the light of the world; the one following me in no way should walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of the life.
8:13The Pharisees said then to him, You testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not valid.
8:14Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I testify concerning myself, my testimony is valid; for I know from what place I came, and where I go. But you do no know from what place I come, and where I go.
8:15You according to the flesh judge, I do not judge anyone.
8:16And if I also judge, my judgment is valid, because I am not alone, but I and the father having sent me.
8:17And in your law also it has been written that, Of two men the testimony is valid.
8:18I am the one testifying concerning myself, and the father having sent me testifies concerning me.
8:19They said then to him, Where is your father? Jesus answered, Neither me you know, nor my father. If you would have known me, also my father you would have known.
8:20These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no one laid hold of him, for his hour had not yet come.
8:21Then again Jesus said to them, I go away, and you shall seek me, and in your sin you shall die. Where I go, you are not able to come.
8:22Then the Jews said, Maybe to kill himself, that he says, Where I go, you are not able to come.
8:23And he said to them, You are of the lowers, I am of the uppers; you are of this world, I am not of this world.
8:24I said then to you that, You shall die in your sins; for if you should not believe that I am, you shall die in your sins.
8:25They said then to him, You, who are you? And Jesus said to them, The source of whatever also I speak to you.
8:26Many things I have concerning you to say, and to judge; but the one having sent me is true, and I, what I heard from him, these things I say unto the world.
8:27They did not know that he spoke to them the father.
8:28Jesus said then to them, Whenever you should raise up high the son of man, then you shall know that I am; and from myself I do nothing, but as my father taught me, these things I speak.
8:29And the one having sent me, is with me. The father left me not alone, for I do the things pleasing to him at all times.
8:30These things of his having spoken, many believed in him.
8:31then Jesus said to the Jews believing in him, If you should stay in my word, truly you are my disciples.
8:32And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall free you.
8:33They answered him, We are seed of Abraham, and to no one have we been a slave to at any time. How do you say that, You shall become free?
8:34Jesus answered to them, Amen, amen, I say to you that, Every one committing the sin is a slave of the sin.
8:35And the manservant does not abide in the house into the eon; the son abides into the eon.
8:36If then the son should free you, really you will be free.
8:37I know that you are seed of Abraham; but you seek to kill me, for my word does not have space in you.
8:38I speak what I have seen by my father; and you then what you have seen by your father you do.
8:39They answered and said to him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus says to them, If you were children of Abraham, the works of Abraham you would have done.
8:40But now you seek to kill me, a man who has spoken the truth to you, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do.
8:41You do the works of your father. They said then to him, We have not been born of harlotry; we have one father -- God.
8:42Jesus said to them, If God was your father, you would have loved me; for I came forth from God, and I come; for neither from myself have I come, but that one sent me.
8:43Why do you not know my speech? it is that you are not able to hear my word?
8:44You are of the father of the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. That one was a man-killer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, for truth is not in him. Whenever he should speak the lie, from out of his own he speaks; for he is a liar, and the father of it.
8:45But I, for I speak the truth, but you do not believe me.
8:46Who of you reproves me concerning sin? But if I speak truth, why do you not believe in me?
8:47The one being of God hears the sayings of God; on account of this, you do not hear, for you are not of God.
8:48Then the Jews answered, and they said to him, Do we not speak well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?
8:49Jesus answered, I do not have a demon, but I esteem my father, and you dishonor me.
8:50But I do not seek my glory; there is the one seeking and judging.
8:51Amen, amen, I say to you, If anyone should give heed to my word in no way shall he view death into the eon.
8:52The Jews said then to him, Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and you say, If anyone should give heed to my word in no way shall he taste death into the eon.
8:53Are you greater than our father Abraham who died, and the prophets that died? Whom do you make yourself?
8:54Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my father glorifying me, whom you say, that he is your God.
8:55And you have not known him; but I know him. And if I should say that, I do not know him, I will be like you, a liar. But I know him, and his word I give heed to.
8:56Abraham, your father exulted that he should behold my day, and he saw and rejoiced.
8:57Then said the Jews to him, You have not yet fifty years, and you have seen Abraham?
8:58Jesus said to them, Amen, amen, I say to you, Before Abraham existed I am.
8:59Then they lifted stones that they should throw at him; but Jesus was hidden, and he went forth from out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and passed by thus.
