John 2
2:1And the third day a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee. And the mother of Jesus was there.
2:2And were invited also Jesus and his disciples unto the wedding.
2:3And lacking wine, the mother of Jesus says to him, They do not have wine.
2:4Jesus says to her, What is it to me and to you, O woman? my hour is not yet come.
2:5Says his mother to the servants, What ever he should say to you, you do it!
2:6And there were there six stone water-pitchers being situated for the cleansing of the Jews, having capacity of up to two or three measures.
2:7Jesus says to them, Fill the water-pitchers with water! And they filled them unto upward.
2:8And he says to them, Draw out now, and bring it to the chief attendant! And they brought.
2:9And as the chief attendant tasted the water becoming wine, and knew not from where it is, (but the servants knew, the ones drawing the water), the chief attendant calls the groom,
2:10and he says to him, Every man first places the good wine, and whenever they should be intoxicated, then the lesser; you have kept the good wine until just now.
2:11This the beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples trusted in him.
2:12After this he went down into Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and there they stayed not many days.
2:13And near was the passover of the Jews, and Jesus ascended unto Jerusalem.
2:14And he found in the temple the ones selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting down.
2:15And having made a scourge out of rough cords, he cast out all from the temple -- both the sheep and the oxen. And of the money-changers, he poured out the brass coins, and the tables he overturned.
2:16And to the ones selling the doves he said, Take these from here! Do not make the house of my father a house of a market-place!
2:17And his disciples remembered that it is being written, The zeal of your house devoured me.
2:18The Jews responded then, and said to him, What sign do you show to us that these things you do?
2:19Jesus answered and said to them, Loosen this temple! and in three days I will raise it.
2:20The Jews then said, Forty and six years it took to build this temple, and you in three days will raise it?
2:21But that one spoke concerning the temple of his body.
2:22When then he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that this he said to them; and they believed in the scripture, and in the word which Jesus spoke.
2:23And as he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the holiday feast, many trusted in his name, viewing his signs which he did.
2:24But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, on account of his knowing all;
2:25and that he had no need that any should witness concerning man; for he knew what was in man.
