John 15

15:1I am the true grapevine, and my father is the grower.

15:2Every vine branch in me not bearing fruit, he takes it; and every one bearing fruit, he cleanses it, that it should bear more fruit.

15:3Already you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.

15:4Abide in me, and I in you! As the vine branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, unless it should abide in the grapevine, so not even you, unless you should abide in me.

15:5I am the grapevine, you are the vine branches. The one abiding in me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit; for apart from me you are not able to do anything.

15:6Unless one should abide in me, he is thrown outside as the vine branch, and withers; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

15:7If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, whatever you should want, ask! and it shall be to you.

15:8In this my father is glorified, that you should bear much fruit, and should become disciples to me.

15:9As the father loved me, I also loved you; abide in the love, in the one mine!

15:10If you should keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I have kept the commandments of my father, and I abide in the love of his.

15:11These things I have spoken to you, that my joy should abide in you, and your joy should be full.

15:12This is my commandment, That you love one another! as I loved you.

15:13Greater love than this no one has, that one should place his life for his friends.

15:14You are my friends, if you should do as much as I give charge to you.

15:15No longer do I call you servants, for the servant knows not what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things which I heard from my father I made known to you.

15:16You chose me not, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and your fruit should abide; that whatever you should ask the father in my name, he should give to you.

15:17These things I give charge to you, that you should love one another.

15:18If the world detests you, know that it detested me first before you!

15:19If you were of the world, the world would be fond of its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you from out of the world, on account of this the world detests you.

15:20Remember the word which I said to you! A servant is not greater than his master. If me they persecuted, also you they shall persecute. If they give heed to my word, then they will give heed to yours.

15:21But all these things they shall do to you because of my name, for they know not the one having sent me.

15:22Unless I came and spoke to them, they had not had sin; but now they have not an excuse concerning their sin.

15:23The one detesting me, even detests my father.

15:24If I did not the works among them which no other has done, they had not had sin; but now even they have seen and have detested even me and my father.

15:25But that the word should be fulfilled having been written in their law that, They detested me without a charge.

15:26But whenever the comforter should come, whom I send to you from the father, the spirit of the truth, who from the father goes forth, that one will witness concerning me;

15:27and you also witness, for you were with me from the beginning.
