Job 8
8:1And undertaking, Baldad the Shuhite, says,
8:2Till when shall you speak these things by a talkative spirit of your mouth?
8:3Will the lord transgress judging? or the one making all things disturb the just?
8:4If your sons sin before him, he sent them away in hand because of their lawlessness.
8:5But you, rise early to the lord almighty beseeching him!
8:6If you are pure and true, he will heed your supplication, and he will restore to you the habitation of righteousness.
8:7It will be then that as your first shall be little, yet your last will be an untold amount.
8:8For ask the first generation, and trace according to the race of the fathers!
8:9For we are of yesterday, and have not known; for our existence upon the earth is a shadow;
8:10shall these not teach you, and announce to you, and from out of the heart lead forth sayings?
8:11Does papyrus flourish without water? or shall the flowering rush rise up high without drinking?
8:12Yet being upon the root, and in no way harvested, shall it not be dried before the drinking of all pasturage?
8:13So therefore will it be for the last of all the ones forgetting the lord; for the hope of the impious shall perish.
8:14For his house will be uninhabited, and his tent will turn out to be as for a spider.
8:15If one should overlook his house, in no way shall it stand; and grasping it, in no way shall it remain.
8:16For it is wet under the sun, and his tender branch shall come forth out of his rottenness.
8:17Upon a gathering of stones he goes to bed, and in the midst of gravel he shall live.
8:18And if the place should swallow him, it shall lie to him, saying, Have you not seen such a thing?
8:19For the undoing of the impious is such, and from out of the earth another shall sprout up.
8:20For the lord in no way will undo the guileless, and every gift of the impious he will not receive.
8:21But the mouth of the true ones he will fill with laughter, and their lips with acknowledgment.
8:22But their enemies shall put on shame; and the habitation of the impious will not be.
