Job 13

13:1Behold, my eye has seen these things, and my ear has heard.

13:2And I know as much as even you know; and I am not more senseless than you.

13:3But nevertheless, I will speak to the lord; and I will reprove before him, if he should be willing.

13:4But you are unjust physicians, and are all bad healers.

13:5But it may be good for you to be silent, and it shall turn out to you for wisdom.

13:6Hear the reproof of my mouth; and heed the judgment of my lips!

13:7Is it not against the lord you speak, and before him you utter a sound of deceit?

13:8Or will you keep back? But you yourselves become judges!

13:9Is it good if he should track you; for as if the ones doing all things shall you be added to him;

13:10in not one thing less shall he reprove you; but if also you shall secretly wonder at persons.

13:11Is it not in his awfulness that he shall whirl you, and fear of him shall fall upon you?

13:12But your prancing shall turn out equal to ashes, and the body to clay.

13:13Be silent, that I shall speak, and rest my rage!

13:14Taking my flesh in my teeth, even I shall put my life in my hand.

13:15Though the mighty one should lay hands against me, since even he begins, in fact I shall speak and reprove before him.

13:16And this shall result in deliverance to me; for treachery shall not enter before him.

13:17Hear, hear my words! for I will announce in your hearing.

13:18Behold, I am near my judgment; I know that I shall appear just.

13:19For who is the one passing judgment to me, that now I shall be silent and shall cease?

13:20But two things you shall furnish to me, then from your presence I will not hide.

13:21Let your hand be at a distance from me! and let me not be struck with terror in the fear of you!

13:22Then you shall call, and I will hearken to you; or you shall speak, and I will give you an answer.

13:23How many are my sins, and my lawless deeds? Teach me what they are!

13:24Why do you hide from me; and esteem me contrary to you?

13:25Or as a leaf moving by the wind, will you be cautious of me? or as grass borne by the wind, will you be adverse to me?

13:26For you wrote down against me bad things, and you invested to me youthful sin.

13:27And you put my foot under restraint; and you watched all my works; and into the roots of my feet you attained.

13:28I am the one turning old equal to a leather bag, or as a moth-eaten garment.
