1 Chronicles 12
12:1And these are the ones coming to David in Ziglag, while banding together from the face of Saul son of Kish. And they are among the mighty ones helping in war,
12:2and using the bow with the right hands and with the left hands, and slingers with stones, and with arrows, and with a bow from the brethren of Saul of Benjamin.
12:3The ruler was Ahiezer, and Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet sons of Azmaveth, and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
12:4and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, mighty among the thirty, and over the thirty; Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite;
12:5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Baaliah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
12:6Elkanah, and Jessiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
12:7and Joelah, and Zebadiah sons of Jeroham, sons of Gedor.
12:8And of the Gadites these separated to David into the wilderness, mighty strong men for war, deploying shield and spear, and their faces were as faces of lions, and they were light as does upon the mountains going quickly.
12:9Ezer the ruler, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
12:10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
12:11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12:12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
12:13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
12:14These were of the sons of Gad, rulers of the military, one to a hundred -- the small, and the great a thousand.
12:15These are the ones passing over the Jordan in the first month, and it was filled over all its bank. And they drove out all the ones dwelling in the canyons to the east, and to the west.
12:16And there came of the sons of Benjamin and Judah to help David.
12:17And David came forth to meet them, and he answered and said to them, If in peace you have come to me to help me, may it be to me a heart with you for uniting. But if to deliver me up to my enemies, not in truth of hand, may the God of our fathers see it and reprove.
12:18And spirit clothed Amasai ruler of the thirty, and he said, Go, David son of Jesse, you and your people, in peace! Peace to you, and peace to your helpers; for your God helped you. And David favorably received them, and he placed them as rulers of the forces.
12:19And some from Manasseh joined with David in the coming of the Philistines against Saul for war. And David did not help them, for in counsel it came to pass from the commandants of the Philistines, saying, With our heads he will return to his master Saul.
12:20And they sent him away. And in David going to Ziklag, some joined with him from Manasseh -- Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai -- chiefs of thousands of Manasseh.
12:21And they fought along with David against the troop, for they were all mighty in strength, and they were leaders in the military in the force.
12:22For at a time day by day they came to David to help him, as for a great camp, as the camp of God.
12:23And these are the names of the rulers of the military, of the ones coming to David in Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the lord.
12:24Sons of Judah, bearing an oblong shield and spear -- six thousand and eight hundred mighty ones for battle array.
12:25Of the sons of Simeon, mighty ones in strength for battle array -- seven thousand and a hundred.
12:26Of the sons of Levi -- four thousand and six hundred.
12:27And Jehoiada the leader to Aaron, and with him -- three thousand and seven hundred.
12:28And Zadok, a young man, mighty in strength, and of the house of his father were twenty and two rulers.
12:29And from the sons of Benjamin, of the brethren of Saul -- three thousand. And yet most of them kept the guard of the house of Saul.
12:30And of the sons of Ephraim -- twenty thousand and eight hundred mighty in strength, famous men, according to the houses of their families.
12:31And of the half tribe of Manasseh -- eighteen thousand, the ones being named by name to come to give reign to David.
12:32And of the sons of Issachar, ones perceiving with understanding concerning the times, knowing what Israel shall do in their companies -- two hundred; and all their brethren with them.
12:33And of Zebulun going forth into battle array for war with all the weapons for warfare -- fifty thousand, to help David, nor with heart and heart.
12:34And of Naphtali a thousand rulers, and with them with shields and spears -- thirty and seven thousand.
12:35And of the Danites being deployed for war -- twenty-eight thousand and six hundred.
12:36And of Asher ones going forth to help in war -- forty thousand.
12:37And of the other side of the Jordan of Reuben, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, all with weapons for warfare in the force -- a hundred twenty thousand.
12:38All these men were warriors being deployed in battle array. they came with a peaceful soul unto Hebron to give reign to David over all Israel. And the rest of Israel was one soul to give reign to David.
12:39And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking, for their brethren made preparations for them.
12:40And the ones adjoining them, near Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought to them upon the donkeys, and upon the camels, and upon the mules, and upon the calves, foods -- flour, dried clusters of figs, dried grapes, wine, and olive oil, calves, and sheep in multitude, for gladness was in Israel.
