Joshua 16

16:1And the borders of the sons of Joseph were from the Jordan by Jericho from the east wilderness; and it shall ascend from Jericho unto the mountainous area into Beth-el.

16:2And it shall go forth from Beth-el to Luz, and it shall go by unto the borders of Archi Ataroth.

16:3And it shall go to the west by the borders of Japhleti unto the borders of Beth-horon the part below, and unto Gezer; and their outer reaches shall be to the sea.

16:4And the sons of Joseph -- Manasseh and Ephraim inherited.

16:5And the borders of the sons of Ephraim were according to their peoples; and the borders of their inheritance were from the east -- Ataroth Addar unto Beth-horon the upper.

16:6And the borders shall go to the sea unto Michmethah from the north, and the border shall go by unto eastwards into Taanath-shiloh, and it shall go towards the east to Janoah;

16:7and it shall go down from Janoah to Ataroth, and their towns, and to Naarath, and it shall come to Jericho, and pass out at the Jordan.

16:8And from Tappuah the borders will go west unto the rushing stream Kanah; and its outer reaches will be at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim according to their peoples.

16:9And the separated cities to the sons of Ephraim were in the midst of the inheritance of the sons of Manasseh, all the cities, and their towns.

16:10And Ephraim did not destroy the Canaanite dwelling in Gezer; but the Canaanite dwelt in Ephraim until this day, and they became bondmen subject to tribute.
