Isaiah 33

33:1Woe to the ones causing misery, but no one makes you miserable; and the one disrespecting you, does not disrespect; the ones disrespecting shall be captured, and they shall be delivered up; and as a moth upon a cloak, so they shall be vanquished.

33:2O lord, show mercy on us! for we rely upon you. The seed of the ones resisting persuasion became for destruction; but our deliverance is in time of affliction.

33:3On account of the sound of the fear of you peoples were amazed. and the nations were dispersed because of the fear of you.

33:4But now your spoils shall be gathered, small and great; in which manner as if one should gather locusts, so they shall mock you.

33:5Holy is the God dwelling in heavens. Zion shall be filled up with equity and righteousness.

33:6They shall be delivered up to the law. Our deliverance is in treasuries. Located there are wisdom and higher knowledge and piety to the lord; these are treasuries of righteousness.

33:7Behold indeed, in the fear of you these shall be fearful. Whom you feared shall yell out because of you; for messengers shall be sent enjoining for peace, bitterly weeping.

33:8For the ways of these shall be made desolate. Your fear of the nations has been made to cease, and the covenant is lifted away, and in no way shall you consider them men.

33:9The land mourned. Lebanon is ashamed. Sharon became marshes. Galilee will be of distinction, and Carmel.

33:10Now I shall rise up, says the lord. Now I shall be glorified, now I shall be exalted,

33:11now you shall see, now you shall perceive, the strength of your spirit shall be in vain; fire shall devour you.

33:12And the nations shall be for incinerating as a thorn-bush in a field being tossed and being incinerated.

33:13The ones at a distance shall hear what I did; and the ones approaching shall know my strength.

33:14The lawless ones in Zion departed. Trembling shall take the impious. Who shall announce to you that a fire is being burned? Who shall announce to you the eternal place?

33:15The one going in righteousness, speaking the straight way, detesting lawlessness and injustice, and shaking off bribes with the hands, weighing down the ears that he should not hear a judgment of blood, closing the eyelids of the eyes that he should not behold injustice.

33:16This one shall live in a high cave of strong rocks; bread shall be given to him, and his water is trustworthy.

33:17You shall see a king with glory, and your eyes shall see a land at a distance.

33:18Your soul shall meditate upon fear. Where are the academics? Where are the ones advising? Where is the one counting the ones being maintained?

33:19A small and great people which did not take advice, nor had beheld a deep voice, so that a people being treated as worthless should not hear, and there is no understanding to the one hearing.

33:20Behold, Zion the city, our deliverance. Your eyes shall see Jerusalem, a rich city, tents which in no way shall be shaken, nor shall the stanchions of her tent be moved into the eon of time, nor in any way shall her rough cords be torn up.

33:21For the name of the lord will be great to you; with rivers and spacious and broad aqueducts. You shall not go this way, nor shall a boat being rowed go.

33:22For my God is great; the lord shall not pass me by; the lord our judge; the lord our ruler; the lord our king; the lord himself shall deliver us.

33:23Your rough cords were torn, for your mast does not have strength, it leans, it shall not let down the shrouds, it shall not lift a signal flag until of which time it should be delivered up for plunder; therefore many lame men shall cause plunder.

33:24And in no way shall the people dwelling in her say I am tired, for sin shall be forgiven to them.
