Genesis 14

14:1And it came to pass in the kingdom of Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, and Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations,

14:2they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, and with Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and king Bela -- this is Zoar.

14:3All these joined in harmony upon the salty ravine, this being the sea of salts.

14:4Twelve years they slaved to Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they revolted.

14:5And in the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came and the kings with him. And they cut in pieces the giants, of the ones in Astaroth Karnaim, and the strong nations together with them, and the Emim in Shaveh the city,

14:6and the Horites, the ones in the mountains of Seir, unto the terebinth tree of El-paran, which is in the wilderness.

14:7And returning, they came upon the Spring of Judgment, this is Kadesh. And they cut in pieces all the rulers of Amalek, and the Amorites, of the ones dwelling in Hazezon-tamar.

14:8And came forth the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela -- this is Zoar. And they deployed themselves for war in the salty valley

14:9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar -- the four kings against the five.

14:10And the salty valley had wells of asphalt, and the king of Sodom fled, and the king of Gomorrah, and they fell in there; and the ones being left behind fled into the mountainous area.

14:11And they took all the cavalry of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their foods, and they went forth.

14:12And they took also Lot, the son of the brother of Abram, and his belongings, and moved -- for he was dwelling in Sodom.

14:13And a certain person of the ones being rescued coming, reported to Abram, to the traveler. And he dwelt at the oak of Mamre the Amorite of the brother of Eshcol, and the brother of Aner, who were confederates of Abram.

14:14And Abram having heard that Lot the son of his brother has been captured, counted out his own native-born servants, three hundred ten and eight. And he pursued unto Dan.

14:15And he fell upon them at night, he and his manservants. And he struck them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is at the left of Damascus.

14:16And he returned all the cavalry of Sodom; and he returned Lot the son of his brother, and all his possessions, and the women, and the people.

14:17And the king of Sodom came forth to meet him, after his returning from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and the kings with him, into the valley of Shaveh -- this was the plain of the king.

14:18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread loaves and wine. And he was priest of God the highest.

14:19And he blessed him. And he said, Abram, a blessing to God the highest, who created the heaven and the earth.

14:20And blessed be God the highest who delivered up your enemies under your hands to you. And Abram gave to him a tenth from all.

14:21And said the king of Sodom to Abram, Give to me the men, but the cavalry you take to yourself!

14:22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I will stretch out my hand to the lord God the highest, who created the heaven and the earth,

14:23that not will I take for myself from the string unto the knob of the shoe from all of your things, that you should not have said that, I enriched Abram;

14:24except what the young men ate and the portion of the men, of the ones going with me, Eshcol, Aner, Mamre; these will take for themselves a portion.
