1 Corinthians 10
10:1But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, but know that our fathers all were under the cloud, and all went through the sea,
10:2and all unto Moses were immersed in the cloud and in the sea,
10:3and all ate the same spiritual food,
10:4and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from a spiritual rock following, and the rock was the Christ.
10:5But not with the most of them did God think well of; for they were prostrated in the wilderness.
10:6But these things became models for us, for us not to be cravers of evils, as those also were cravers.
10:7Neither become idolaters, as some of them. As it has been written, The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
10:8Neither should we commit harlotry, as some of them committed harlotry, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
10:9Neither should we put to test the Christ, as also some of them tested, and by the serpents perished.
10:10Neither grumble! as also some of them grumbled, and perished by the annihilator.
10:11And these things all came to pass to them as models; and they were written for our admonition, unto whom the ends of the eons are arrived.
10:12So that the one thinking to stand, take heed lest he should fall!
10:13A test has not taken you except what belongs to a human; but God is trustworthy, who will not allow you to be tested above what you are able; but will make with the test also the way out, for you to be able to endure.
10:14Therefore, my beloved, flee from the idolatry!
10:15As practical I speak; you judge what I say!
10:16The cup of the blessing which we bless, is it not fellowship of the blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not fellowship of the body of the Christ?
10:17For as one bread loaf, we the many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread loaf.
10:18Look at Israel according to the flesh! Are not the ones eating the sacrifices partners of the altar?
10:19What then say I, that an idol is anything, or that what is sacrificed to an idol is anything?
10:20But that which the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; but I do not want you to become partners of the demons.
10:21You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons; you are not able to partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons.
10:22Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
10:23All things to me are allowed, but not all things are advantageous. All things to me are allowed, but not all things build up.
10:24Let no one seek of himself, but each the thing of the other.
10:25Everything in the market place being sold eat of! questioning nothing on account of conscience.
10:26For of the Lord is the earth, and the fullness of it.
10:27And if anyone invite you of the unbelieving ones, and you want to go, all being placed near you eat of! questioning nothing on account of conscience.
10:28But if anyone should say to you, This is sacrificed to idols, do not eat on account of that one, the one indicating and the conscience sake! For of the Lord is the earth, and the fullness of it.
10:29But conscience, I say, is not the one of yourself, but the one of the other. For why is my freedom judged by another's conscience?
10:30If I partake in favor, why am I blasphemed for what I give thanks?
10:31Whether then you eat, or whether you drink, or whether anything you do, do all unto the glory of God!
10:32Become not a cause for stumbling -- even Jews, even Greeks, even the assembly of God!
10:33as even I please all men in all things, not seeking for myself advantage, but the advantage for the many, that they should be delivered.
