Revelation 21

21:1And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away; and the sea is no more.

21:2And the holy city, new Jerusalem, I saw coming down from God out of the heaven, being prepared as a bride being adorned for her husband.

21:3And I heard a great voice from out of the heaven, saying, Behold, the tent of God is with the men, and he shall pitch a tent with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.

21:4And he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not be any more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor misery -- it shall not be any more, for the first things departed.

21:5And said the one sitting upon the throne, Behold, I make all things new. And he says to me, Write! for these words are true and trustworthy.

21:6And he said to me, It has taken place -- the alpha and the omega, the beginning and end. I will give to the one thirsting from out of the spring of the water of life without charge.

21:7The one overcoming shall inherit all, and I will be to him God, and he will be to me a son.

21:8But to the timid ones, and unbelieving ones, and sinful ones, and ones being abhorrent, and murderers, and fornicators, and dealers in potions, and idolaters, and to all the liars, their part is in the lake burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.

21:9And one came from the seven angels, of the ones having the seven bowls being full of the seven last calamities, and spoke with me, saying, Come, I will show to you the wife, the bride of the lamb.

21:10And he carried me away in spirit upon a great and high mountain. And he showed to me the great city, holy Jerusalem, coming down from out of the heaven from God,

21:11having the glory of God. Her luminescence was likened to precious stone, as to jasper stone sparkling;

21:12having a wall great and high; having twelve gatehouses. And upon the gatehouses were twelve angels, and names being inscribed, which is of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.

21:13From the east three gatehouses; and from the north three gatehouses; and from the south three gatehouses; and from the west three gatehouses.

21:14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and upon them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the lamb.

21:15And the one speaking with me had a golden reed measure, that he should measure the city, and its gatehouses, and its wall.

21:16And the city lies four-cornered, and its length is as much as the width. And he measured the city by the reed unto twelve thousand stadiums. The length, and the width, and the height of her were equal.

21:17And he measured her wall a hundred forty four cubits, the measure of a man, which is, of an angel.

21:18And the edifice of her wall was jasper; and the city pure gold, likened to pure glass.

21:19And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

21:20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh hyacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

21:21And the twelve gatehouses were twelve pearls, whilst each one of the gatehouses was of one pearl. And the square of the city is of pure gold as transparent glass.

21:22And I saw no temple in her, for the Lord God almighty is her temple, and the lamb.

21:23And the city has no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they should shine forth in her; for the glory of God gives her light, and her lamp is the lamb.

21:24And the nations shall walk by her light; and the kings of the earth shall bring the glory and their honor unto her.

21:25And her gatehouses in no way should be locked by day; for there will be no night there.

21:26And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations unto her.

21:27And in no way should enter into her anything common, and committing an abomination, and a lie; only the ones being written in the scroll of the life of the lamb.
