John 21

21:1After these things Jesus manifested himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. And he manifested thus --

21:2were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, the one being called Didymus, and Nathanael, the one from Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.

21:3Simon Peter says to them, I go to fish. They say to him, We also go with you. And they went forth, ascending into the boat straightly; and in that night they laid hold of nothing.

21:4And morning already coming to pass, Jesus stood on the shore; not however did the disciples know that it is Jesus.

21:5Jesus then says to them, Sons do you have anything for eating? They answered to him, No.

21:6And he said to them, Cast unto the right parts of the boat with the net and you shall find. They cast then, and no longer were they able to draw because of the multitude of the fishes.

21:7Says then that disciple whom Jesus loved to Peter, It is the Lord. Then Simon Peter, having heard that it is the Lord, girded up the outer garment, (for he was naked,) and threw himself into the sea.

21:8And the other disciples came in the boat, (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits,) dragging along the net of the fishes.

21:9Then as they disembarked onto the land, they see a charcoal bed being situated, and little fish resting upon it, and bread.

21:10Jesus says to them, bring of the little fish which you laid hold of just now.

21:11Simon Peter ascended, and he drew the net upon the land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty-three; and being so great the net was not split.

21:12Jesus says to them, Come dine! But no one dared of the disciples to diligently inquire of him, Who are you? knowing that it is the Lord.

21:13Then comes Jesus, and takes the bread, and gives to them, and the little fish in like manner.

21:14This is already the third time Jesus was manifested to his disciples, having been raised from the dead.

21:15When therefore they dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me more than these? He says to him, Yes, O Lord, you know that I am fond of you. He says to him, Graze my little lambs!

21:16He says to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? He says to him, Yes, O Lord, you know that I am fond of you. He says to him, Tend my sheep!

21:17He says to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, are you fond of me? Peter fretted that he said to him the third time, Are you fond of me? And he said to him, O Lord, you know all things, you know that I am fond of you. Jesus says to him, Graze my sheep!

21:18Amen, amen, I say to you, When you were younger you tied up yourself, and you walked where you wanted; but whenever you shall grow old, you shall stretch out your hands, and another will tie you up, and shall bring you where you do not want.

21:19And this he said, signifying by what death he shall glorify God. And this having said, he says to him, You follow me!

21:20And Peter turning, sees the disciple whom Jesus loved following; the one who also reclined at the supper upon his breast and said, O Lord, who is the one delivering you up?

21:21Seeing this one, Peter says to Jesus, O Lord, but what about this one?

21:22Jesus says to him, If I want him to remain until I come, what is it to you? You follow me!

21:23Then this word went forth unto the brethren, that that disciple does not die. But Jesus said not to him that he does not die; but, If I want him to remain until I come, what is it to you?

21:24This is the disciple, the one witnessing concerning these things, and writing these things; and we know that his witness is true.

21:25And there are also many other things, as much as Jesus did, which if they should be written one by one, I imagine not even the world itself to have space for the scrolls being written. Amen.
