Jeremiah 33

33:1And came to pass the word of the lord to Jeremiah a second time, (and he was still bound in the courtyard of the guard,) saying,

33:2Thus said the lord, the one making the earth and shaping it, to re-erect it; the lord is his name.

33:3Cry out to me! and I will answer you, and I will report to you great and mighty things which you knew them not.

33:4For thus said the lord God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the king of Judah being demolished for a siege mound and battlements,

33:5to do combat against the Chaldeans, and to fill it of the dead, of the men whom I struck in my anger, and in my rage, and turned my face from this city on account of all their wickednesses.

33:6Behold, I lead to her a closing of her wound and a cure. And I will treat them, and I will make manifest to them to hear, and I will make to them peace and trust.

33:7And I will return the resettlement of Judah and the resettlement of Israel; and I will build them as prior.

33:8And I will cleanse them from all their iniquities which they sinned against me. And in no way shall I remember their sins which they sinned against me, and separated from me.

33:9And it will be to me for a name for gladness, and for praise, and for magnificence to all the people of the earth, who shall hear all the good things which I do for them. And they shall fear and shall be pricked on account of all the good things, and on account of all the peace which I make for them.

33:10Thus said the lord, There shall still be heard in this place (in which you say, It is desolate of men and animals, in the cities of Judah, and outside Jerusalem in the places having been made desolate by the not being a man and beast,)

33:11a voice of gladness, and a voice of joyfulness, a voice of a groom, and a voice of a bride, a voice of men saying, Make acknowledgment to the lord almighty! for the lord is gracious, for into the eon is his mercy. And they shall carry in gifts to the house of the lord. For I shall return all the resettlement of that land as prior, said the lord.

33:12Thus said the lord of the forces, There shall yet be in this desolate place (by reason of not being a man and cattle in all of its cities) a lodging for shepherds bedding flocks.

33:13In the cities of the mountainous area, and in the cities of the Sephela, and in the cities of the Negev, and in the land of Benjamin. And in the places round about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah yet shall go sheep by the hand of one counting, said the lord.

33:14Behold days come, says the lord, and I will raise up the good word which I spoke over the house of Israel and over the house of Judah.

33:15In those days and in that time, I will cause to sprout to David a bud of righteousness. And a king shall reign, and he shall be perceiving, and shall cause equity and righteousness in the land.

33:16In those days Judah shall be delivered, and Jerusalem shall dwell securely. And this is the name they shall call him, The lord our Justice.

33:17For thus says the lord, It shall not be deficient to David for a man sitting upon the throne of Israel.

33:18And from the priests and Levites it shall not be deficient for a man to be before me offering whole burnt-offerings, and an incense gift, and doing a sacrifice all the days.

33:19And came to pass the word of the lord to Jeremiah, saying,

33:20Thus says the lord, If you should make my covenant as being annuled, the covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so as for there to not be a day and a night in their time,

33:21then my covenant being annuled will be with David my servant, so as to not be of him a son reigning upon his throne nor with the Levites and priests of my ministration.

33:22As if the military of heaven shall not be counted, and the sand of the sea shall not be measured, thus I shall multiply the seed of David my firebrand, and of the Levites of my ministration.

33:23And came to pass the word of the lord to Jeremiah, saying,

33:24Do you not know what this people spoke, saying, Two kin which the lord chose, he pushed them out? And they provoked my people that you should not be a nation before them.

33:25Thus says the lord, If my covenant may not be to the day and to the night, and laws of the heaven and of the earth, then I ordained not.

33:26Thus the seed of Jacob and David my servant I would have banished, so as for me to not receive of his seed rulers among the seed of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob. For I shall return their captivity, and I shall show mercy on them.
