Genesis 1

1:1In the beginning God made the heaven and the earth.

1:2But the earth was unseen and unready, and darkness was upon the abyss, and spirit of God bore upon the water.

1:3And God said, Let there be light! And there was light.

1:4And God beheld the light that it was good. And God parted between the light and between the darkness.

1:5And God called the light, Day, and the darkness he called, Night; and there was evening and there was morning, day one.

1:6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and let it be for parting between water and water!

1:7And God made the firmament, and God parted between the water which was underneath the firmament, and between the water above the firmament.

1:8And God called the firmament, Heaven. And God beheld that it was good; and there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

1:9And God said, Let the water underneath the heaven come together into one gathering, and let the dry land appear! And it was so. And the water underneath the heaven gathered together into their gatherings, and the dry land appeared.

1:10And God called the dry land, Earth; and the collections of the waters he called, Seas. And God beheld that it was good.

1:11And God said, Let the earth grow pasturage of grass sowing seed according to type, and according to likeness, and the fruitful tree producing fruit which the seed of it is in it, according to type upon the earth! And it was so.

1:12And the earth brought forth pasturage of grass sowing seed, according to type, and according to likeness; and the fruitful tree producing fruit which the seed of it is in it, according to type upon the earth.

1:13And God beheld that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

1:14And God said, Let there be luminaries in the firmament of the heaven for giving light upon the earth, to part between the day and between the night! And let them be for signs, and for times, and for days, and for years!

1:15And let them be for giving light in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth! And it was so.

1:16And God made the two great luminaries; the greater luminary for beginnings of the day, and the lesser luminary for beginnings of the night, and the stars.

1:17And God put them in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth,

1:18and to begin the day and the night, and to part between the light and between the darkness. And God beheld that it was good.

1:19And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

1:20And God said, Let the waters bring forth reptiles of living lives, and flying winged creatures upon the earth below the firmament of the heaven! And it was so.

1:21And God made the great whales, and every life of living creatures of reptiles which the waters brought forth according to their types; and every feathered winged creature according to type. And God beheld that it was good.

1:22And God blessed them, saying, Grow and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas! And let the winged creatures be multiplied upon the earth!

1:23And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

1:24And God said, Let the earth bring forth living life according to its type -- four-footed, and reptiles, and wild beasts of the earth according to type! And it was so.

1:25And God made the wild beasts of the earth according to type, and the cattle according to their type, and all the reptiles of the earth according to type. And God beheld that it was good.

1:26And God said, Let us make man according to our image, and according to likeness! And let them control the fishes of the sea, and the winged creatures of the heaven, and the cattle, and all the earth, and all the reptiles of the ones crawling upon the earth!

1:27And God made man. According to the image of God he made him. Male and female he made them.

1:28And God blessed them, saying, Grow and multiply, and fill the earth, and dominate it! And control the fishes of the sea, and the winged creatures of the heaven, and all the cattle, and all of the earth, and all of the reptiles of the ones crawling upon the earth!

1:29And God said, Behold, I have given to you every grass fit for sowing a sowing of seed which is upon the earth, and every tree which has in itself a fruit seed fit for sowing; to you it will be for food,

1:30and to all the wild beasts of the earth, and to all the winged creatures of the heaven, and to every reptile crawling upon the earth, which has in itself breath of life, even every green grass for food. And it was so.

1:31And God beheld all as much as he made. And behold, it was exceedingly good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
