Ezekiel 30
30:1And the word of the lord came to me, saying,
30:2O son of man, Prophesy and say! Thus says Adonai the lord; Oh, Oh the day;
30:3for the day of the lord is near, even the day of the lord approaches. It will be a day of cloud and a time of nations.
30:4And a sword shall come against the Egyptians, and there will be a disturbance in the land of Ethiopia, and they shall fall being slain in Egypt, and they shall take her abundance, and her foundations shall be cast down.
30:5Persians, and Cretans and Lydians, and Libyans, and Ethiopians, and all the intermixed peoples, and of the sons of my covenant shall fall by the sword with them.
30:6Thus says Adonai the lord; And the supports of Egypt shall fall, and the insolence of her strength shall go down from Migdol unto Syene; they shall fall by the sword in her, says Adonai the lord.
30:7And it shall be made desolate in the midst of places being obliterated; and her cities will be in the midst of cities being made desolate.
30:8And they shall know that I am the lord, whenever I shall appoint fire against Egypt, and all the ones helping her shall be broken.
30:9In that day shall come forth messengers hastening to obliterate the hope of Ethiopia; and there will be a disturbance among them in the day of Egypt; for behold, it is come.
30:10Thus says Adonai the lord; And I will destroy the multitude of the Egyptians by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon;
30:11he and his people with him, the pestilent ones from nations being sent to destroy the land. And they shall all empty out their swords against Egypt, and shall fill the land with slain.
30:12And I will make their rivers desolate. And I will render the land by the hand of evil ones; and I will obliterate the land, and its fullness, by the hands of strangers. I the lord have spoken.
30:13For thus says the lord God; And I will destroy the abominations, and I will rest the great ones from Memphis, and the rulers from the land of Egypt, and they will not be any longer. And I will put fear in the land of Egypt.
30:14And I will destroy the land of Pathros, and I will put fire upon Tanis, and I will execute punishment in Diospolis.
30:15And I will pour out my rage upon Sin, the strength of Egypt. And I will destroy the multitude of Memphis.
30:16And I will appoint fire unto Egypt. And Sin shall be disturbed with a disturbance. And in Diospolis there will be inundation, and waters shall be dispersed.
30:17Young men of Heliopolis and Bubastum shall fall by the sword, and the women shall go into captivity.
30:18And in Tehaphnehes the day shall darken in my breaking there the chiefdoms of Egypt. And the insolence of her strength shall perish there. And a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall be led captives.
30:19And I will execute judgment on Egypt. And they shall know that I am the lord.
30:20And it took place in the eleventh year, in the first month, the seventh of the month, the word of the lord came to me, saying,
30:21O son of man, I broke the arms of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it was not earnestly beseeched to give to him healing, to put upon him a dressing, to be given strength to take hold of the sword.
30:22On account of this, thus says Adonai the lord; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and I will break his arms, the strong, and the ones being broken; and I will throw down his sword from out of his hand.
30:23And I will scatter Egypt into the nations, and I will winnow them into the places.
30:24And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and I will put my broadsword into his hand. And he shall bring it upon Egypt, and he shall plunder her plunder, and he shall despoil her spoils.
30:25And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall; and they shall know that I am the lord, in my putting the broadsword into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it against the land of Egypt.
30:26And I will scatter Egypt into the nations, and I shall winnow them into the places; and they shall know that I am the lord.
